Jeff LaBar , guitarist for Cinderella , died this Wednesday, the 14th, in Nashville, United States. The news was shared by the musician's son, Sebastian , without information on the cause of death.
“I just received the news… Jeff LaBar, my father, my hero, my idol, passed away today. I’m speechless right now. I love you, Dad,” wrote the young man, who followed in his father’s footsteps by sharing several photos of the artist over the years. “If you could please share photos or videos of the happy moments we had with my father, I would greatly appreciate it.”
LaBar joined Cinderella in 1985, two years after the band's formation, and has remained with the band ever since. In 2014, he released One For The Road , his first solo album.
According to Blabbermouth , the musician confessed to struggling with alcoholism for several years. According to the guitarist himself, this addiction was responsible for the band's inactivity, which released its last studio album back in 1994 and has performed only sporadically since then. "I think it's all my fault. It's no secret that I have a drinking problem," he said in 2016.
Rest in peace, Jeff!
